Japan International Cooperation Agency( JICA ) and Department of Survey Bangladesh is going to make a digital map of Bangladesh. With this map any user can get latest update of any particular area and GPS mobile user can trace anybody instantly. In a result any suspicious criminal can be arrested very easily. Bangladesh is a very small country in world map. We will see Bangladesh in satellite view on this digital map as we see it now in general map. A trained expert team of JAPAN is working on this project. Under Ministry of Defense this map is going to show us all roads, constitution, rivers, historical places and many more. We will also get important information about this.
A employee of survey department said, “The map we are making is open for all. Anybody can take it in low cost. People can work on it. In future we will give it in website. If you use GPS in car, then you can easily trace a car. If you use it in mobile you can trace your son where he is! You are accessing everybody’s location. Police will easily track a criminal. ”
To make this map GPS Stations have been set in different places of Bangladesh. Even mobile users will get weather updates by their mobile when the system will be available.
A Japanese worker of this project told that, “ If anybody want to go to school, college or hospital he don’t have to ask anybody with this technology. ”
The project will be completed at the end of 2016.
